So I can very much confirm she CAN be, and MAY be potty trained because she can definitely hold it without accidents overnight and throughout the day. However, she's adjusting to our routine (hence transition period in our adoption paperwork). On top of that, change in food has caused some stomach upset so there's some diarrhea in the mix. :(
Doing well on the sit and lay down and stay thing, even my daughter can do it and MOST the time she's doing it. But she IS a smart one, so it's NOT that she doesn't HEAR you, she's just deciding whether she wants to or not. So......she should go to a home with some doggo experience, OR a stern owner who isn't afraid to have a high expectation of her. lol
She's got a good mix of excitement and mellow. She's still gentle as her big self can be around a small hooman. She's not food driven, but she's VERY human driven.
We were all playing outside when we realized her long leash had snapped off and she was a BIT farther than the leash would've allowed. Naturally I approached slowly like "nothing had happened" and did the high pitch "come here Nakita, come here baby girl" and she ran right up to me. THANK HEAVENS!! Crisis everted
NEW DISCOVERY: Nakita has a high prey drive. So she will not be approved to go to a home with cats, or small animals (guinea pigs, mice, rats, rabbits, etc). It's just not going to be a good combination. She's a true husky at heart for this fact to be true.
